Expolit 'going to be bigger and better' with variety of events
Organizers of the largest trade show in the U.S. for Spanish-language Christian products will launch several new initiatives next month, including a media summit, inspirational short film competition, photo contest, leadership seminars and more free products.

Running May 2-5 at the Doubletree Hotel & Miami Airport Convention Center in Miami, the 21st annual Expolit convention, which is open to the general public, is expected to draw more than 3,200 daily attendees. Read more
Christian publishers have been impacted by recent flooding in the Midwest, causing some of them to closed down.

Mid-April downpours brought on sudden flooding throughout the Midwest, and high water is blamed for at least three deaths, Associated Press reported.

Crossway's offices in Wheaton, Ill., suffered substantial flooding, forcing closures April 17-18.

Volunteers help Iowa Christian store after fire next door
Veteran Christian retailers Steve and Janelle Pickering are expressing gratitude for volunteers who helped keep open their Parable Lemstone Christian Store in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, after a fire next door.
GRAMMY-winning multi-Platinum recording artist TobyMac has received three nods for the 2013 Billboard Music Awards.

TobyMac was named a finalist for Top Christian Artist; Top Christian Album for Eye On It (ForeFront Records/Capitol Christian Distribution); and Top Christian Song for "Me Without You."

Casting Crowns was also named a finalist for the Top Christian Artist.

Standard Publishing Group, a division of CFM Religion Publishing Group, has sold the Rainbow Study Bible brand to B&H Publishing Group.

"This is a win for both companies," said CFM Publishing CEO and President Peter M. Esposito. “At Standard, we are aligning our focus to our core strengths, to be the leading provider of church resources, including adult and children’s curriculum and special programming like Vacation Bible School. B&H has expertise in Bible publishing.”
The City Harmonic wins Canada's Juno Award
Integrity Music Group's The City Harmonic won this past weekend during the Juno Awards, Canada's equivalent to the GRAMMY Awards. The band was honored with the Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year for I Have a Dream (It Feels Like Home) (Provident Distribution).

HarperCollins Christian Publishing partners with Spanish publisher
HarperCollins Christian Publishing has entered into a licensing agreement with the Spanish publishing house Editorial CLIE (Committee on Literature for Evangelical Churches).

With the exception of Spain, HarperCollins Christian Publishing will hold global print and distribution rights for the entire CLIE product catalog. 
New label brings Motown sound to gospel
Motown Records and EMI Gospel have formed a joint venture partnership with the creation of the new Motown Gospel label.
