Valentine's Day spending to increase slightly from 2012
Valentine.shutterstock_69051025 Consumers are expected to spend an average $130.97 on Valentine's gifts and merchandise—up from $126.03 last year, according to the National Retail Federation's (NRF) 2013 Valentine's Day Consumer Intentions and Actions survey conducted by BIGinsight.

Total Valentine's Day spending is expected to reach $18.6 billion, up slightly from last year. Read more

Mary Mary wins two NAACP Image Awards
Sister duo Mary Mary won two categories during the 44th NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) Image Awards, held Friday, Feb. 1, at the historic Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
Christian music artists are honoring Israel this spring in a gala benefit concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The event is being hosted by pianist Dino Kartsonakis and his wife, Cheryl.
